How’s 2021 been for you? It’s been a busy year at LemonEdge. Here are our top four highlights.

The end of a year is always a time to look forward, but it’s also a time to look back and take stock of how far you’ve come. As 2021 comes to a close, we’re incredibly grateful for everything we’ve achieved this year. It’s not been easy; like the rest of the world, we’ve had to get used to a new way of working. But, also like the rest of the world, we’ve come a long way.

In this article, we’ll recap our best four moments from 2021.

Superreturn Disruption Innovation Summit

1 – Closing a funding round

It was a busy start to the year at LemonEdge as we prepared ourselves to raise funds. We did a massive amount of background work, established the right partnerships and brought advisors onto the board.

Our hard work paid off; LemonEdge raised $2.5 million in a fundraising round led by the US venture firm Sidekick Partners. Investors Tikhon Bernstam (Founder of Parse and Scribd) and Lauren Iaslovits (Founder at Investran) both participated in the funding round.

2 – Expanding our operations and hiring top talent

Our funding round allowed us to swiftly expand our operations into North America. It also entire us to hire the best talent available across a wide variety of roles, including:

  • Development
  • Implementation
  • Sales

Now we’re operating in the US and UK – the world’s biggest financial hubs – we see so many new opportunities, which we’re looking forward to progressing in the years to come.

3 – Receiving recognition in the industry

In 2021, we were able to attend our very first live in-person events. They were:

  • SuperReturn CFO/COO in London
  • SuperReturn International in Berlin

At these events, we got to meet private equity leaders from across the globe, as well as network with our industry peers. Gareth Hewitt, our CEO, took part in a panel discussion on the future of tech. He also gave a showcase presentation on the three most prevalent legacy issues and how LemonEdge solves them.

Another significant achievement for us in 2021 was being nominated for an industry award – Best Provider in the Technology: Accounting and Reporting category at the Drawdown awards. Although we didn’t win, we are still super grateful to be nominated. It’s a valuable recognition for the hard work we’ve put in, especially as we’d only been in the market for ten months at the time. It gives us greater belief in the future success of LemonEdge and hopefully more accolades to come.

4 – Building new client and partner relationships

This year we formed strategic partnerships with Steelbridge Consulting, Lionpoint and Reframe Capital. These partnerships solidify LemonEdge’s position in the market and, with the help of our partners, allow us to accelerate the delivery of custom, institutional-quality solutions for the private capital industry.

Linking up with these great names also helps us to reach our target audience and win new clients.

Here’s to 2022!

From all of us at LemonEdge, we’d like to thank all our people for the hard work they have put in this year. Your efforts make LemonEdge what it is today.

This is just the beginning for us. We have a lot more in store for 2022 as we expand into a new time zone, grow our team and develop new and impactful client and partner relationships.

We’d also like to thank you for following LemonEdge. We hope you’ve had a good 2021 - and here’s to an even better 2022!
